Art Gallery of Maritime Museum of Ushuaia
The exhibition "PAINTINGS" of the artists Eduardo Nicolia and Luis Marcelo Morais is presented again.
With almost 40 new works of watercolors and oils in different sizes and themes, landscapes, still lifes and portraits, it aims to revalue the type of art commonly called "easel painting". His works are essentially "figurative painting".
It will be possible to visit until March 30
Eduardo Nicolai is an illustrator, draftsman and watercolourist. He has painted the landscapes of this city for more than 20 years, his watercolors capture the essence of the Ushuaian landscape, the snowfalls, the views of Mount Olivia or the sailboats in the bay, all corners where the landscape prevails. It has also colored the images of the city when it was a small village with its houses of wood and sheet metal and its flimsy fences.
Luis Marcelo Morais is an illustrator and illustrator. At a young age he began his studies with the best Argentine artists such as Gatti, Marchi and Genovés. In 2012 and 2013 in Spain he participated in workshops with Spanish realism teachers such as Antonio López García, Andrés García Ibáñez and Golucho. His oil paintings show a tireless and delicate search for precision in shapes and colors. Ushuaia has impacted him by the majesty of the landscape and in them he captures the climates, the light and the atmospheres of all the corners where his gaze rests.
